Flights grounded throughout Midwest after temporary outage at Minnesota air traffic control facility: FAA

Systems have come back online, according to the FAA.

Planes headed into and departing Minnesota and nine other Midwest states were being diverted or held on the ground Thursday due to a system outage at a Minneapolis air traffic control facility, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

The systems, which included radar and ATC, later came back online, but the disruptions remained at several airports, according to the agency.
