MANILA, Philippines — Work in government offices in Valenzuela City has been suspended on Friday afternoon, Aug. 7, due to inclement weather brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon, or habagat, and the low-pressure area (LPA). In an advisory, the Valenzuela local government unit (LGU) said that the work suspension will take effect at 12 p.m on Friday under the directive of City Mayor Wes Gatchalian due to the prevailing heavy rainfall. The LGU said public health services remain operational to ensure medical assistance to the public continues.
