According to Ukrinform, Viktor Tregubov, a spokesperson for the Joint Forces Task Force, stated this on television.

According to him, the only relatively new incursion by Russian troops in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector has been recorded east of Vovchanski Khutory.

“This is the so-called Bilyi Kolodiaz sector. The irony is that this isn’t even an attempt to advance toward Bilyi Kolodiaz itself, because the Russians have only penetrated a few kilometers into that area,” Tregubov said.

At the same time, he emphasized that reports from the Russian side of an alleged advance toward Bilyi Kolodiaz do not correspond to reality.

“All Russian reports contain completely absurd claims regarding their advance, specifically in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector… toward that very Bilyi Kolodiaz, which they supposedly have already reached and captured, even though it’s still at least 10 kilometers away,” the spokesperson noted.

According to him, the Ukrainian military is also analyzing these reports. He added that the Russian side has repeatedly spread similar disinformation regarding other settlements.

“We read these Russian reports ourselves… and see that this is some kind of operation to mislead their own leadership,” Tregubov said.

He added that Russian units are currently positioned east of Vovchanski Khutory and are trying to advance in small groups, “but so far, this hasn’t led to anything.”

“To be honest, I don’t know why they’re heading in that direction. The only assumption is that this might indeed be an attempt to bypass Vovchanski Khutory, which they can’t capture—an attempt to flank it from the east. Breaking through to Bilyi Kolodiaz is, as of now, closer to science fiction. Most likely, this is related to some local Russian objectives set by a specific commander or general who is trying to curry favor in this way,” he noted.

As is known, Bilyi Kolodyaz is a village in the Chuhuiv district of the Kharkiv region and is part of the Vovchanska urban community. The settlement is located approximately 14 km from Vovchansk.

As reported by Ukrinform, on August 6, over the past day, 233 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were reported along the front lines, with the fiercest fighting in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors.
