"Build the Beautiful Building!" is an important request in Pokémon Pokopia, introduced in the Bubbly Basin DLC, where your goal is to breathe life back to the underwater town. Throughout this mission, you will look for Pokémon and materials to help Popplio to build a massive building in the middle of the town.

To give you a hand, below we walk through all the steps to complete the "Build the Beautiful Building!" important request.

'Build the Beautiful Building!' walkthrough in Pokémon Pokopia

After you have reached environment level three, Popplio will ask you to follow it to the top of the stairs to show you where it wants to build the ocean temple.

With the building kit in place, it's time to work. To complete the "Build the Beautiful Building" important request, here's what you must do:

  • Clear all the **sand and grass**within the building area. Initially, you won't be able to see the fence demarcating the building kit's area, but as you start destroying the blocks, it will appear.

  • Complete **Corphish's**,**Corsola's**, and**Mareanie's requests**if you haven't already. Corphish will have you build a Sharpedo structure, Corsola will teach you about farming watermelon, and Mareanie will give you instructions about cleaning pearls.

  • Meet **Totodile**north at the wrecked bridge to start its request.- It wants to play before helping Popplio, so you'll need to indulge it by having three rounds of "look that way." Totodile will always look to the opposite side and win all rounds.

  • Follow **Totodile**to start its second request, which requires you to turn on a bubble machine.

  • Make the **"fluffy relaxation" habitat**. Once Chinchou appears, take it to the room to the north, where you last spoke to Totodile to turn on the bubble machine and complete this Pokémon's request.

  • Find **Frillish**inside a cave on the**northwest side of the map**and start its request, which has two parts.- The first involves exploring the initial segment of the cave.

  • In the second, you will need to find the Starmie doll hidden deeper in the same cave.

  • Head**north of the ocean temple building kit,**then turn east before the bridge where you met Totodile to find**Barboach**. Talk to it and you will begin another request.- This time, you need to dive into the pit near Barboach to look for its seashell seat. It's located on the east side of the dark area, next to the "Comfort Café Now Open!" record on the ground. Consider crafting some mushroom lamps or collecting lampions that you can find in the area to light the way.

  • Head back to **Barboach**with the seashell seat in your inventory, and it will give you another request: it wants you to use the seashell to build it a home.

  • Make the **"ocean rest spot" habitat**then return to Barboach to complete the quest.

  • Go talk to **Popplio**to tell it that you have found its three friends.

  • Bring the **Corphish, Corsola, Mareanie, Totodile, Frillish, Barboach,**and**nine other Pokémon**to the building kit.

  • Build**two ocean doors**, and**10 seashell fencing**— you can buy the recipe for the latter from the shop.

  • Collect **50 star-spotted rocks, 30 stones, 25 seashells and 10 shiny pearls**. A good place to find all these materials is the new Dream Island, which you can visit using the Starmie doll.

  • Head to the **ocean temple building kit**and deposit all the materials.

  • Select "Start building!" and wait for one hour.

Consider these steps as a guideline, since you can complete most of them out of order. For example, you can wait until you have all the materials and Pokémon ready for building before you start cleaning the sand, or you can help Barboach first before meeting Totodile.

Once the construction is done, enter the building to find the mythical Pokémon Manaphy, whom you can invite to become a resident in Bubbly Basin. Congratulations — you've completed the "Build the Beautiful Building!" important request.
