Treasure maps in Pokémon Pokopia are collectibles you can obtain by digging shining spots that spawn daily on the Bubbly Basin map.

These maps guide you to hidden treasures that humans left behind before they disappeared — but you don't need to have the maps to find these forgotten valuable items. While hunting for treasures might seem secondary, finding them allows you to make a unique habitat.

There are six treasure maps scattered across the Bubbly Basin region, which are only available to those who own the DLC. You'll find these maps randomly as you dig up glowing spots on the ground (the ones that usually have relics, fossils, and mysterious slates), but you don't need them to find the treasure. You can actually head straight to these locations, even without the map.

Below, you find the location of every treasure in Pokémon Pokopia and

how to make the "mermaid's gym" habitat.

Pokémon Pokopia Treasure Map #1

Reward: Decorative Great Ball

To find the hidden treasure that Treasure Map #1 points to, head to the bathing house beside the Pokémon Center in Bubbly Basin. Go down the stairs on its left side and look for a wall of blue rocks past the bench. Destroy it to find a secret room and the decorative Great Ball.

Pokémon Pokopia Treasure Map #2

Reward: Decorative Heal Ball

The second treasure is inside an underground room that you can find northeast of the ocean temple. Swim past the tall red-roofed building to reach the area where you meet Barboach during the "Build the Beautiful Building!" important request. Start breaking the ground blocks near the large coral, and you will eventually reach the room where you can collect the decorative Heal Ball.

Pokémon Pokopia Treasure Map #3

Reward: Decorative Dive Ball

The third treasure is near the abandoned gym in Bubbly Basin. To reach the place, head east of the main square. You will see a wall of dirt blocks that you can break to make your way to the path that leads you to the gym. Get in front of the building, then turn south and destroy the wall of star-spotted rocks to find the room with the decorative Dive Ball.

Pokémon Pokopia Treasure Map #4

Reward: Decorative Net Ball

Head to the cave northwest of the main square in Bubbly Basin to find this treasure. This is the same place where you met Frillish during the "Build the Beautiful Building!" important request. Past the entrance, jump back into the water to reach a room where some nets are blocking the path. Break them and keep moving down. Once you reach a room with tracks and blue crystals, look for the wall of blue rock on the southeastern side. Make a path by destroying the blocks to enter the room where you can find the decorative Net Ball.

Pokémon Pokopia Treasure Map #5

Reward: Decorative Lure Ball

You can find the fifth treasure near a house that has a yellow mailbox in front of it. The only place that matches this description is on the northeast side of the map (where you find the portal pods). After reaching the house, start digging on the west side of the building, near some coral, and you will locate the room and the decorative Lure Ball.

Pokémon Pokopia Treasure Map #6

Reward: Decorative Quick Ball

To get your hands on the sixth and final treasure, you must head to the southern part of the map, near the Bubbly Basin gate. Next, from the gate, travel north. Go down the stairs, then turn west. You will see the remains of a house and a wall of star-spotted rocks behind it. Break these rocks to reach the room where the decorative Quick Ball will be waiting.

How to make the 'mermaid's gym' habitat in Pokémon Pokopia

While exploring the Bubbly Basin area and finding its secrets is fun, you have a good reason to use the treasure maps to find the hidden items. The six different decorative Poké Balls allow you to make the "mermaid's gym" habitat, which is Starmie's home.

In case you want to put it together so Starmie appears in your town, here's what you need:

  • 1 marine sofa
  • 6 pedestal/exhibition stands
  • 1 decorative Great Ball
  • 1 decorative Dive Ball
  • 1 decorative Lure Ball
  • 1 decorative Heal Ball
  • 1 decorative Net Ball
  • 1 decorative Quick Ball

If you want a quick way to make this habitat, then go to the abandoned gym that Treasure Map #3 shows, east of the main square. Inside, you will find the six exhibition stands you will need. After finding all six decorative Poké Balls, place them on top of the stands in any order. Then, all you will need to look for is a marine sofa, for which you probably already have the recipe.

We've got plenty more Bubbly Basin guides to help you on your new Pokopia journey, including where to find portal pods for universal storage and how to get the Starmie doll to unlock a new Dream Island. We've also updated our Pokopia cooking recipe list and put together a Bubbly Basin habitat dex.
