Mt Eden prisoner sent to hospital after injuring themselves

A prisoner from the Mt Eden Corrections Facility was taken to hospital on Saturday evening.

A corrections spokesperson said the prisoner appeared to have injured themselves.

The spokesperson said the prisoner was in a single cell.

They were unable to provide further information on the prisoner's condition and treatment.
