Bedford emergency alert involves man believed to have been involved in shooting, police say
Halifax police say man is white, 6-3 with brown hair and brown facial hair
The subject of an emergency alert issued by RCMP over a dangerous man with a firearm in Bedford, N.S., is believed to have been involved in a shooting in Annapolis Royal, N.S., earlier Saturday, say Halifax Regional Police.
Police are asking residents to stay indoors and lock their doors while the search is underway.
In a statement, Halifax police said the 31-year-old suspect is a white man, six feet three inches with brown hair and brown facial hair.
Police say the man's vehicle was located in the parking lot behind Sunnyside Mall and he's believed to be in the wooded area behind the mall.
Anybody who spots the man should call 911, said police.
