According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defence announced this on its website.

The visit followed meetings between the corps commanders and the President of Ukraine, during which key problems and needs of the units were raised. The Ministry of Defence was tasked with addressing these issues promptly.

According to the ministry, the Defence Ministry team worked with the teams of Robert Brovdi, Denys Prokopenko, Valerii Skred, and Andrii Biletskyi during the visit.

"We are working directly with the troops — where we can see the real situation, hear from commanders and soldiers," Khmara said.

The commanders provided a comprehensive assessment of the situation in their areas of responsibility, including the composition and actions of enemy forces, the resilience of Ukrainian defences, and the key needs of military units.

They also discussed what is needed to protect logistics, wear down the enemy, and maintain fire control over its supply routes.

Khmara emphasized that Ukrainian forces are operating effectively across the entire depth of the enemy's military formation — from the line of contact to logistics hubs deep in the rear.

He also spoke directly with servicemen on the ground. Requests requiring decisions by the Ministry of Defence have been taken up for further action.

The ministry said it would strengthen frontline combat units in close coordination with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi.

Khmara thanked the servicemen for their resilience and strong performance in carrying out combat missions and presented them with awards.

"Modern weapons produce results only when they are used by strong people. Ukrainian soldiers are invaluable specialists with real experience of modern warfare," he emphasized.

During a separate discussion with commanders, Khmara stressed that preserving the lives of soldiers is an unconditional priority. He said it was important for combat missions to be carried out professionally, responsibly, and with respect for servicemen.

As Ukrinform reported, Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief Drapatyi discussed strengthening the defence of Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk, and Donetsk region as a whole, providing Ukraine with air defence missiles, as well as personnel issues within the Armed Forces.
