Cebu City crime: Driver caught for fatal stabbing in Suba parking fight

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu- The Sawang Calero Police Station arrested a habal-habal driver who was the suspect in stabbing and killing a parking attendant in Barangay Suba, Cebu City, at 2 a.m. on Sunday, August 9.

Police identified the suspect as alias Callman, 43, who lives with his partner in Block 5, Barangay Sawang Calero.

They identified the victim as alias Ralph, 42, a parking attendant who lived in Block 6, Concepcion, Barangay Suba.

Based on their investigation, the Sawang Calero Police Station learned that the victim and suspect had argued over a parking space along Belgium Street.

Suddenly, the suspect stabbed the victim using a knife.

It wasn’t clear who brought the victim to the Cebu City Medical Center, where he later died.

The suspect allegedly fled, but a police team caught him in Block 5, Barangay Sawang Calero at 1 p.m. Sunday, about 11 hours after the crime.

The Sawang Calero Police Station now have him under their custody and are preparing a criminal case of homicide against him.
