According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.

“During a massive strike on the Odesa region on the night of August 9, 2026, the enemy used 11 missiles of various types, most of which followed a ballistic trajectory to their targets. Up to 100 enemy UAVs of various types were also detected, including jet-powered drones and Banderol-type loitering munitions,” the statement reads.

As noted, as of 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 9, air defense systems had shot down 72% of the UAVs, as well as five out of six Banderol drones and one missile.

In addition, as a result of active countermeasures, three missiles failed to reach their targets—their locations (impact sites) are being determined.

In Odesa and the surrounding region, missiles and combat UAVs hit nine locations.
