According to LuckyPunch, during the main event of the boxing card in Manta, Ecuador, the Ukrainian defeated local boxer Andrés Muñoz, as reported by Ukrinform.

The fight went the full ten rounds. At the end, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Shelestyuk.

Thus, 40-year-old Taras won the WBO International welterweight title and maintained his undefeated record as a professional boxer—22 wins (12 by knockout) and 1 draw.

For Shelestyuk, this championship title is his first since 2016. At that time, the Ukrainian held the WBO NABO welterweight title.
