SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — A section of a dike along the Bucao River in Botolan town was damaged on Sunday (August 9), prompting authorities to undertake repairs and urge residents in several areas to evacuate as rains continued. According to Rolex Estella, head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, engineering work began at the dike in Barangay San Juan manned by personnel from the Municipal Engineering Office, the Provincial Engineering Office and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
