Pangilinan joins an ensemble cast led by Jodi Sta. Maria and Elijah Canlas, who portrays Jopson. The cast also includes Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo, Cedrick Juan, Teroy Guzman, Gab Pangilinan and Issa Litton.

Based on the trailer, Pangilinan plays the role of the young Joy Jopson –– the wife of Canlas’ EdJop.

The film is inspired by the life of Edgar “Edjop” Jopson, a prominent student leader and former president of the National Union of Students of the Philippines who was known for directly engaging with students, workers and those in positions of power.

The Megastar shared that the “EDJOP” team is taking its campaign to universities through the Edjop Campus Conversations instead of the usual press conferences, previews and premiere nights.

The campus tour will bring director and co-writer Katski Flores and members of the cast to universities for discussions with students about Jopson’s life, the making of the film and societal issues.
