Summer Sonic turns 25 this year, and apparently the appropriate way to celebrate is to cram even more music into it.

The event, held concurrently in Tokyo (though, technically Chiba Prefecture) and Osaka, runs for three full days this weekend rather than the usual two. For the Kanto half, there are also two nights of programming running until first train. Factor in wrestling, skateboarding and other diversions, and there is enough happening to make plotting your schedule feel like a part-time job.

Thankfully, the event’s organizer, Creativeman, has helped ward off analysis paralysis by organizing the chaos into something resembling “blocks” centered around particular sounds — or eras.
