KALININGRAD, August 10. /TASS/. The Russian Baltic Fleet’s corvette Soobrazitelny has practiced searching for and destroying a simulated enemy submarine in a naval exercise that took place in the waters of the Baltic Sea, the fleet’s press service reported.

"The exercise to search for and destroy a simulated enemy submarine took place in the Baltic Sea. The Soobrazitelny corvette, part of the Baltic Fleet's surface ship formation, practiced a series of combat training missions to search for a simulated enemy submarine," the press service said.

The vessel’s crew located, classified, and tracked the target using the ship’s hydroacoustic station and deployed a Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopter. After exchanging data and establishing the coordinates, the crew simulated the launch of torpedoes at the "enemy" submarine.

In addition, the military personnel underwent electronic warfare training, conducted joint air defense drills, practiced navigation in narrow passages and maneuvering, and carried out tasks related to radiological, chemical and biological protection, and ship survivability.
