MANILA, Philippines — The water level of La Mesa Dam still exceeded its overflow status on Tuesday morning due to the effects of the southwest monsoon or habagat, according to the state weather bureau. In its dam situationer issued at 6 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that La Mesa dam’s water level reached 80.20 meters (m) as of 5 a.m. It is 0.5 meter above its overflow elevation of 80.15 m.
