• Count Binface, a satirical political character created by comedian Jonathan David Harvey, is a self-described “space politician” who has also previously claimed to be 5,072 years old.
• Mr Harvey previously ran in both the 2021 and 2024 London Mayoral elections. He also stood against Boris Johnson in the 2019 general election and ran for the Makerfield by-election which was won by Andy Burnham.
• Count Binface's manifesto combines satirical Clacton-specific proposals, such as cutting local taxes while raising everyone else's, with broader pledges like building one affordable house, nationalising Adele, and enforcing conscription for speakerphone users on public transport.
• In an interview with The Times, Binface expressed doubt about getting along with US president Donald Trump, whom he dubbed the 'Mango Mussolini', while lightheartedly comparing his election voting records to Harry Kane's goalscoring tally.
• Addressing political rivals, Binface mocked Farage's frequent trips to Washington DC, rejected Reform UK's stance on immigration, and highlighted encouragement from political figures such as Mr Burnham.
