Deadline reports Jacob Elordi is in talks to star alongside Scarlett Johansson in Scapegoat, the mysterious new film from Ari Aster rumored to be either a “sci-fi romance” or “about a doctor who operates on a famous person.”

American Psycho

According to a new report from The InSneider (via World of Reel), “a handful of A-listers” have passed on playing Patrick Bateman in Luca Guadagnino’s American Psycho remake, despite screenwriter Scott Z. Burns revising “the screenplay multiple times in response to feedback” from wary actors. Because of this, Lionsgate may soon “move on from the Italian filmmaker, as, according to the report, they have already identified possible replacements.”

World of Reel also has word (via The InSneider) that Greta Gerwig’s Narnia now plans to undergo reshoots following “mixed” feedback from a recent test screening in Paramus, New Jersey.

Ewan McGregor confirmed there’s still no progress on a second season of Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Finally, Flying Bark Productions has released a trailer for Doomsweepers, an animated series from creator Sarah Harper (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Olan Rogers (Final Space) following “a cute team of latex-clad cogs in a machine, knuckling down and doing their best no matter what gets thrown at them. The story is a post-pandemic side-eye at big tech, but at its heart, itâs about having each otherâs backs, sticking together, and celebrating the folks who continue to show up and do the thing.
