According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this in an update on the situation as of 08:00 on Wednesday, August 12.
The enemy launched two missile strikes involving 13 missiles and carried out 80 airstrikes, dropping 284 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, Russian forces used 11,155 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,422 shelling attacks, including 28 with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Artillery strikes hit Korenok, Sopych, Bachivsk, Neskuchne, Rohizne, Tolstodybove, Bezzalivka, Vyntorivka, Hirky, Yastrubshchyna and Topolia in the Sumy region. Sumy, Hurko-Ozhynka and Pustohorod came under airstrikes.
Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery struck three command posts, one area where Russian personnel were concentrated, one artillery system and four UAV control posts.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy assaults. Russian forces carried out 71 shelling attacks, including one with an MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian units repelled 13 attacks. Russian forces attempted to advance near Lyman and Starytsia and toward Khatnie, Kolodiazne, Okhrimivka and Vodiane.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy carried out 15 offensive actions near Zahryzove and Kurylivka and toward Radkivka and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attacked seven times near Karpivka, Serednie, Zarichne and Dibrova.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces launched 18 assault operations near Riznykivka, Zakitne, Kryva Luka and Kalenyky and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Ozernе.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched one offensive action toward Yurkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 34 enemy attacks were recorded. Russian forces carried out assault operations near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia and Illinivka and toward Dovha Balka, Stepanivka, Toretsk, Novyi Donbas and Kucheriv Yar.
The enemy launched 37 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, attempting to advance near Novo Shakhove, Myrne, Dorozhnie, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udatne and Novomykolaivka and toward Shevchenko, Myrne, Vasylivka, Serhiivka and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces launched one attack toward Ternove.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces attacked six times, attempting to advance toward Vozdvyzhivka, Charivne, Kosivtseve, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove and Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped two attempts by Russian forces to advance toward Prymorske and near Luhivske.
In the Dnipro River sector, Russian forces conducted no assault operations.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian forces forming offensive groupings were detected.
As Ukrinform reported, Russian forces have suffered approximately 1,461,660 personnel losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, including 1,260 personnel over the past day.
