Aiko Melendez parts ways with manager Ogie Diaz
Aiko Melendez and talent manager Ogie Diaz have ended their professional relationship, the actress-politician confirmed on social media.
Melendez announced the end of her professional endeavour with Diaz in a Facebook post on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
“My manager Ogie Diaz and I have reached a crossroads in our business life, and we have chosen to take separate roads,” she said.

Despite their decision, Melendez emphasized that she and Diaz remain friends.
“…[O]ne thing remains unchanged, we are still good friends. I deeply value the friendship we have built through the years,” she added.
Melendez then thanked Diaz for their years of friendship and assured him of her continued love.
“Always grateful Ogie, for the friendship, trust, and memories we’ve shared and will share. Mahal pa din kita alam mo yan mader,” she concluded.

Melendez and Diaz’s professional partnership began in 2023 after the actress signed a management contract with the talent manager in March that year.
At the time, Melendez said she valued Diaz’s advice in managing her showbiz career. Diaz also managed other well-known personalities, including actress Liza Soberano for 11 years before their separation in 2022.

Melendez, meanwhile, began her showbiz career as a child actress. She has appeared in the films and series “Wildflower,” “Bagani,” “Prima Donnas” and “Inday Bote.” She has also received acting accolades, including a Luna Award.
Aside from acting, Melendez ventured into politics. She previously served as a Quezon City councilor from 2001 to 2010 and returned to the city council in 2022, representing the fifth district. /ra
