Operating EBITDA margin expanded by more than 230 basis points to 12.1% compared to 9.8% in Q1 FY26, driven by higher operational efficiencies and product realisations. The rise in value growth was supported by elevated copper prices, which led Finolex Cables to implement price hikes in May 2026. Segment performance breakdown

The electrical cables division remained the principal growth driver, posting a 47% increase in segment revenue to Rs 1,767.45 crore, up from Rs 1,205.71 crore in Q1 FY26.## Operational headwinds in copper rods

During the quarter, operations at the company's copper rod manufacturing plant faced temporary suspension due to limited availability of LPG and PNG linked to Middle East supply disruptions. Consequently, revenue from the copper rods segment fell to Rs 8.01 crore from Rs 403.42 crore in Q1 FY26, resulting in a segment loss of Rs 3.41 crore.(Disclaimer: Recommendations, suggestions, views and opinions given by the experts are their own.
