In just a few hours, Google will take the wraps off its Pixel 11 lineup. Ahead of the launch, the company is already emailing users potentially interested in buying the device, offering a coupon code that takes as much as $200 off the MSRP.

Google is sending out emails to some lucky users hyping up the Pixel 11 launch event. It also contains a $100-$200 coupon code that can be used when you pre-order the device.

Based on Reddit posts, the email appears to be going out to long-time Pixel users in the US, UK, and Canada. However, the discount amount seems to vary significantly, with some users receiving a $200 coupon code while others are getting $100 or less.

Some European users even report receiving a €20 discount code. $150 appears to be the most common discount, though.

It's unclear how Google is determining the discount amount for each user. But people who received a $200 coupon code report using a Pixel 7 or older device.

It also does not seem that Google has only sent out emails to users who signed up for one of the Pixel 11 launch event emails.

This is not the first time Google has emailed discount codes to users before unveiling new Pixel devices. In February, the company sent select users a $100 discount code ahead of the Pixel 10a launch.

The discount codes are seemingly tied to the account they are sent to. So, if you don't plan to buy a Pixel 11, you can't share it with your friends or family.

If you have yet to receive an email, don't lose hope just yet. The Pixel 11 launch event is still a few hours away, and the company could send out more discount codes before preorders begin.

Pixel 11 preorders should start right after the launch event

Google will mostly start accepting preorders for the Pixel 11 right after the launch event ends later today. So, this coupon code along with attractive trade-in offers should make the Pixel 11 an attractive option for many users. That's provided the company allows stacking the coupon code with other pre-order offers.

The discount should help soften the blow on the Pixel 11's rumored higher price tag. With DRAM and storage pricing on the rise, Google will seemingly bump the Pixel 11's price up by $100 across the board. For lucky users receiving a $150-$200 coupon, the discount should more than offset the rumored price increase.
