BELGOROD, August 12. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces attacked Russia’s Belgorod Region more than 170 times over the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to three others, Acting Governor Alexander Shuvayev reported.

"Unfortunately, two people were killed in the Belgorodsky and Graivoronsky districts during targeted terrorist attacks against civilians. <...> Three other people were injured in the Belgorodsky and Rakityansky districts by the Kiev regime’s strikes. All are receiving outpatient treatment," the regional head wrote on his Max channel.

Shuvayev added that the body of a man who died as a result of a drone attack was found in the Graivoronsky district. The exact date of the incident is being determined.

The Ukrainian military attacked the region 174 times, including 12 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems and artillery and 16 attacks involving explosive devices dropped from drones. The Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Volokonovsky, Graivoronsky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Prokhorovsky, Rakityansky, and Shebekinsky districts were targeted.

In addition, 139 Ukrainian drones were shot down or neutralized over the Belgorod Region in the past 24 hours.
