MANILA, Philippines — The Department of National Defense (DND) lauded the Senate’s unanimous concurrence ratifying the two resolutions that seek to strengthen the country’s defense and diplomatic pact with Canada and New Zealand. The senators passed 19-0 on third reading the Senate Resolution No. 548, or the Status of Visiting Forces Agreement (SOVFA) with Canada, and Senate Resolution No. 459, or the SOVFA with New Zealand, on third reading on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
