Nigerian TikToker Habeeb “Peller” Hamzat has expressed frustration over his family’s growing presence on social media, days after his wedding to fellow content creator Amadou “Jarvis” Aminata.
Speaking during a livestream on Tuesday night, the 21-year-old complained about his parents’ conduct at his white wedding and also reacted to a viral video purportedly showing his father sharing a hotel bed with another man.
Peller said the attention surrounding his family had become overwhelming, claiming that his parents and siblings had suddenly become active subjects in social media conversations.
“I don’t know what’s wrong; all my family members are now on social media. My father, mother, sisters and everybody have now turned into social media users overnight. I’m currently angry with them. I’m tired of their behaviour; they should just leave me alone,” he said.

Peller and Jarvis held their wedding ceremonies on several dates, beginning with a court and civil wedding on 29 July, followed by a traditional wedding on 1 August and a white wedding on 8 August, all in Lagos.
Wedding drama
Reflecting on the white wedding, Peller alleged that his parents disregarded his request to invite only a limited number of guests.
“During my white wedding, I told them to invite only a few people, but my mother came with her boyfriend, and my father came with his girlfriend, and turned my wedding into a party.
“A polygamous family is a very bad thing. There are extended and nuclear families, but I come from a polygamous one; my father married more than one wife, and that’s my problem.”
Father’s viral hotel video
Peller also addressed a viral video purportedly showing his father sharing a bed with another man in a hotel room, which had prompted speculation online about his father’s sexuality.
The TikToker rejected claims that his father was gay, although he said he was currently unhappy with him.
“You people who are calling my daddy gay because of the viral video of him in a hotel with a man on the same bed, how did he father me if he’s gay? I’m currently angry with him, and I’ve informed him that I’m not happy with him.
