BUENOS AIRES, August 13. /TASS/. The death toll from the devastating earthquake in western Colombia has climbed to 265, with 496 people being missing, President Abelardo de la Espriella said.

"Regrettably, 265 people have died, 3,494 were injured, and the number of those missing has risen to 496," he said, citing the latest data.

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck near the city of San Jose del Palmar in the Choco department on August 10.
