According to Ukrinform, Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport Mykola Kalashnyk announced this on Telegram following an extraordinary meeting of the State Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations.

According to him, the meeting addressed issues requiring concrete decisions immediately.

"First — the safety of children in border and frontline regions. Six regions have been identified where more than 56,000 children in 49 communities continue to attend in-person or blended classes. The need is for 840 mobile shelters along routes used for transporting and moving children. The task is to ensure their procurement and installation as quickly as possible," Kalashnyk said.

The second issue, according to Kalashnyk, is the actual readiness of the civil protection system. He stressed that the regions must update their forces and resources and determine their actual capacity to respond to emergencies. "We need a real picture, not readiness on paper."

"Separately — the stability of water supply amid wartime risks. We are strengthening monitoring, checking the readiness of backup sources and increasing their number, including for all critical infrastructure facilities. For each issue, specific further steps have been identified, along with those responsible and deadlines. The results of this work will remain under supervision until the issues are fully resolved," Kalashnyk emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, Kalashnyk met with Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine Masashi Nakagome, with preparations for the heating season being the main topic of discussion.
