Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has filed for divorce from Elle Evans just two days after their seventh wedding anniversary.
On Wednesday, the British rocker, 48, submitted a petition for dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles Superior Court citing 'irreconcilable differences' in legal documents reviewed by the Daily Mail.
A date of separation is 'to be determined' but it has been widely reported that Bellamy and Evans, 36, split sometime last year.
Bellamy is seeking sole legal and physical custody of their six-year-old daughter Lovella and two-year-old son George.
He is also asking the judge presiding over the case to award spousal support to Evans as per the prenuptial agreement from when they tied the knot in 2019.
In a statement to TMZ, Evans vowed to fight for custody of her children and described her marriage to Bellamy as 'unbearable'.

The divorce filing, which Evans said was 'a long time coming', comes less than two months after Bellamy broke his silence on the couple's shock 2025 separation.
The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Bellamy and Evans for comment but has yet to hear back.
They began dating 11 years ago after meeting on the set of Muse's Mercy music video and tied the knot in August 2019 during a ceremony in Malibu – two years after Bellamy popped the question.
Their first child Lovella was born in 2020 and the couple welcomed their son George four years later in 2024.
Reports of the couple's split last summer first surfaced in February of this year.
And Bellamy confirmed the news himself for the first time in an interview with The i Paper in June, confessing the separation 'threw [him] off.'
'It's one of those situations that involves something that people wouldn't normally think it is. It was a set of really unexpected circumstances,' he explained.
'It's the kind of thing no one really prepares for in life. It threw me off, and I had to prioritize looking after the kids and creating stability at home.'

He told the publication that music became his 'lifeline' post-split and he poured his emotions into Muse's latest album The Wow! Signal released in June.
'[It was] right in the depths of this life-changing experience. And it was just – boom. It would just pour out of me. It might have been the easiest album for me to make, because it was such a catharsis. It became a lifeline for me.'
He said for the first time he felt he had his own 'existential crisis' to write about.
Bellamy and Evans made their last public appearance together in March 2025 as they attended the MobLand premiere in London.
Their split came just a year-and-a-half after they welcomed their second child together in May 2024.
The couple shared the news on Instagram and included a sweet photo of their new baby – son named George Julien-Wade Bellamy.
Bellamy's ex-fiancee Kate Hudson, 47, who is the mother of his son Bingham, 15, left five red hearts under the birth announcement.
In one of the photos, the doting parents shared a heartwarming kiss and they rested their hands on their newborn immediately after birth.
They also showed the pair's daughter Lovella sweetly looking over at her new baby brother.
Bingham was also in one of the snaps smiling down at George while holding him in his arms.

Evans wrote in the caption, 'We are so pleased to announce the arrival of our new baby angel boy George Julien-Wade Bellamy, born on Sunday May 12, 2024. The most special blessing born on Mother’s Day & what would’ve been my late Mother’s 60th birthday.
'Named after Matt’s Dad George, my Mom Julie, and my cowboy dad Billy Wade Evans,' the mother-of-two wrote.
'He arrived healthy, happy, and handsome as ever!!! We are obsessed & basking in newborn heavenly bliss.
'I am recovering well and he has already settled into such a nice routine. So grateful to my wonderfully perfect husband @mattbellamy for being so supportive & by my side every step of the way!
'It's an honor to bring another brilliant Bellamy into existence,' she finished.
