Manila Gilas falls short of Fiba 3×3 Singapore main draw
MANILA, Philippines — Manila Gilas missed the Fiba 3×3 Women’s Series Singapore 2026 Main Draw after falling to Brazil, 21-8, in its final qualifying game Thursday at Scape 2 Orchard Link.
Kaye Pingol, Camille Malagar, Lee Sario and Samantha Harada couldn’t contain Brazil inside, while Vitoria Moura made things worse for Manila Gilas by hitting four deuces to finish with nine points.

Gabi Guimaraes added seven points as Brazil swept its two qualifying games, including a 21-7 win over Vietnam, to join Thailand and Beijing in Pool D of the main draw.
Moura hit three straight deuces to mount a 14-4 lead with 7:06 remaining before adding another to put Brazil on the verge of victory, 20-8. Guimaraes then sealed the win with 4:48 left.
The Manila Gilas players scored two points each against Brazil.

Earlier, Gilas took down Vietnam, 15-9, behind the duo of Pingol and Malagar.
Pingol, who also designs the plays for the team, led the way with six points. Malagar had five, while Sario added four.
Malagar blocked a Vietnamese shot and hit a deuce to give Gilas a 9-4 lead with 3:46 remaining before Vietnam cut the deficit to 10-7.

Pingol then put the game away with a layup after Vietnam committed its eighth foul, leading to three straight points for the Gilas guard for a 14-7 lead with 1:06 to play.
