Skill Shift, upGrad’s Annual Report on India’s AI Skilling, highlights that learners in India are adopting AI in daily work and actively building the skills needed to work with it. Based on responses from 2,100 learners across career stages and cities, the study finds that 94% already use AI, while 87% are either enrolled in a programme or exploring or planning to upskill in AI.

Researchers from Nagaland University’s School of Agricultural Sciences, Medziphema Campus — Limasunep Ozukum, Prof. Sanjoy Das, Prof. Amod Sharma, Prof. R. Nakhro, Prof. N.K. Patra, Prof. Manoj Dutta and M. Jangyukala — have identified 47 non-timber forest products (NTFPs) across villages in Nagaland and Meghalaya that help create opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, and additional income in remote forest communities. Researchers from NIT Rourkela — Prof. Sandhyarani Biswas, Prof. Sujit Sen, Jagdish Uday Khatu, Himanshu Singh, and Kiran Suna — have patented a low-cost, portable extruder that produces 3D-printing filaments from recycled plastics to help reduce dependence on virgin materials and reuse plastic waste.

Awards
Team Reviv3D comprising Vidushee, Shravya and from Mallya Aditi International School, Bengaluru, won first place at the global finals of Change It Challenge hosted by Monash University, Australia. The students developed affordable, recyclable, high-quality prosthetics by combining bagasse – the dry, pulpy fibrous material remaining after sugarcane or sorghum stalks are crushed to extract their juice – and crushed basalt from stone with recycled plastics.
Professor Emeritus Gautam R. Desiraju from IIT Mandi received the 14th Ewald Prize from the International Union of Crystallography for his work in crystal engineering, supramolecular synthons, and weak hydrogen and halogen bonding in molecular crystals and biological systems.
EuroSchool HSR was conferred the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Excellence in Humanitarian Services.
Kyra Hamrapurkar and Avantikaa Puri, students of DPS International School, reached the Top 4 in the IMAANDAAR Pre-Law Mooting and Advocacy semi-finals at Jindal Global Law School. Kyra Hamrapurkar also won the Best Rebuttal Award.
