SB19 featured in Japan national TV ahead of Summer Sonic performance

Before their scheduled performance at the 2026 Summer Sonic Festival, SB19 marked another first in their career as they performed their latest single “Lawless” on the Japanese morning talk show “DayDay.”

The P-pop powerhouse made a guest appearance at the program on Thursday, Aug. 13, a day ahead of the music festival.

Showing glimpses from their TV guesting through their Instagram page, the group wrote, “Behind the scenes of our first-ever live TV appearance in Japan!”

“Who would have thought? We were once just dreamers with big dreams, and now we can check another one off our bucket list: being featured on national TV in Japan,” they exclaimed.

The talk show hosts also gamely grooved to the choreography of the quintet’s “Lawless.”

“We’re so happy to be here and honored to represent the Philippines and share our music with Japan and beyond,” SB19 added.

SB19 is set to perform on Summer Sonic’s Massive Stage in Osaka on Aug 14, then on the Pacific Stage in Tokyo on Aug. 15.

Aside from SB19, also representing the Philippines in the music festival is P-pop girl group BINI. The octet will perform at the Mountain Stage in Osaka on Aug. 14, then in Tokyo on Aug. 16. /edv
