According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook.

Overnight on August 13, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the oil refining complex in the city of Salavat, Bashkortostan, Russia.

A fire was reported at the facility.

The complex is located about 1,300 kilometers from Ukraine's state border.

It is one of Russia's largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes.

The facility has a capacity to process up to 10 million tonnes of hydrocarbon feedstock annually. It produces, among other things, gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, polyethylene and other petroleum products and polymers. The facility is involved in supplying the Russian military.

Earlier reports said that a group of drones struck an oil refinery and a Wildberries logistics center in Bashkortostan early on August 13.
