Jeremy Clarkson recycles annual A-level results tweet as he boasts about owning his own farm and brewery after getting a C and two U grades

Jeremy Clarkson has once again bragged about how successful he turned out to be despite failing two of his A-levels and getting a C in the other.

The Clarkson's Farm star, 66, shares a similar tweet every year about his fortune and this year was no different, as he delighted in having his 'own farm and brewery'.

Seeking to reassure A-Level students across the country, he has become synonymous with his annual results day posts.

Taking to X, Jeremy wrote: 'Don't worry if your A level results are a bit disappointing. I got a C and two Us. And this evening I shall sit in my agreeable garden, drinking beer from my own brewery and eating food from my own farm. Prepared by my own chef.'

It is a tradition he has upheld for 12 years with his punch lines only getting more extravagant over the years and he has previously boasted about having his lavish cars, holidaying and owning a pub.

Last year Jeremy said he was 'installing lights for a helicopter landing pad in my garden'.

Pupils are celebrating their best ever A-level results outside of the pandemic after top grades rose for the third year running.

Boys also extended their lead over girls, with 28.9 per cent of male entries getting at least an A grade, compared with 28 per cent of female entries.

Overall, one in four entries – 28.5 per cent – got at least an A, which is a record high from 28.3 per cent last year, 27.8 per cent in 2024 and 27.2 in 2023.

Meanwhile, 9.6 per cent got an A*, compared with 9.4 per cent last year, 9.3 per cent in 2024 and 8.9 per cent in 2023.

Outside of the Covid years of 2020-2022 when grades were vastly inflated due to teacher assessment in the place of traditional exams, today's grades are the highest ever recorded.

In 2019, 25.4 per cent of entries got at least an A, with 7.7 receiving an A*.

This morning a record number of applicants – 446,690 – were also accepted on to university courses, up on 439,180 last year, according to admissions body Ucas.

Jeremy's longstanding tweets, dating back as far as 2014, have lightened a tense day for many students in recent years.

In 2024, he boasted about owning his new Cotswolds pub, The Farmer's Dog, which opened in August of that year.

Sticking with the Cotswold theme in 2023, Clarkson reminded the public that he also has his own brewery.

But the presenter's most popular variation came in 2016, when he revealed his results and added: 'I'm currently on a superyacht in the Med.'

And the year before, he wrote: 'If your A level results aren't great, be cheered by the fact that I got a C and two Us. And I'm currently sitting in a villa in St Tropez.'

Other tweets have boasted of owning a Bentley, deciding which of his Range Rovers to use for the day, having a chef to prepare him truffles for breakfast and renting a grand chateau in France for the summer.

He was one of millions of Britons who headed out to catch a glimpse of the rare astronomical event on Wednesday night.

The event saw the moon gradually slide across the face of the sun until it covered up to 96 per cent, with some parts of the country falling into near complete darkness.

But as many sky watchers took to social media to share their incredible snaps of the eclipse, Jeremy found viewing it harder than it seemed.

Posting a snap of a bright white blob of the sun across his fields, he penned: 'So annoying. We didn’t get the eclipse in Chipping Norton.'

The next partial eclipse will come in 2050, and the next total one will be in 2090.

It came just days after Jeremy said the harvest at his Diddly Squat Farm is 'f***ed' as the country prepared for the year's fifth heatwave.

He posted a screenshot of the BBC weather forecast for Chipping Norton to Instagram on Sunday afternoon with the caption: 'Harvest already f***ed. May as well just enjoy it now.'

The forecast for the Oxfordshire village – near to where the former Top Gear presenter owns the land made famous by the Amazon Prime series Clarkson's Farm – showed a high of 29C (84F) on Sunday.

Chipping Norton is set to endure heat of up to 33C (91F) this week while temperatures could reach 36C (97F) in parts of East Anglia and the South East.

His farming show, which has been filming for a sixth series in recent months, has featured candid reflection on the difficult realities of British farming and will likely focus on the impact of this year's hot weather.

Last week the National Farmers' Union (NFU) warned the Government that Britain could face food shortages because of the long warm and dry spell.

Tom Bradshaw, the NFU's president, said low rainfall and record-breaking heatwaves which have dried soil could lead to fewer products on supermarket shelves.

He told BBC Radio 4 that the Prime Minister should give farmers tax breaks for water storage systems on their land to prepare for future hot weather.
