Graham Norton was among the VIP guests invited to Taylor Swift’s wedding – but that hasn’t stopped him from admitting some aspects of the ceremony weren’t quite to his taste.

The talk show host was in attendance at the singer’s marriage to NFL player Travis Kelce, which was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City in July 2026, having struck up a friendship on his BBC chat show over the years.

The high-profile star-studded ceremony, attended by 1,000 guests, was officiated by actor Adam Sandler and featured performances from Sir Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, and Bon Jovi.

Reflecting on his experience, Norton told The Chris Evans Breakfast Show that it was “a lovely wedding”, but hinted there were some details he would have omitted from his own nuptials.

'You saw things, you know, ‘Oh, that's a lovely touch,’ and then you saw things, like, ‘Oh, I wouldn't have done that’,” he said.

Norton noted that “the big exciting” moment was, in fact, all the anticipation ahead of the event.

“Being in the car, the big black car, and New York is all shut down, and you’re heading toward Madison Square Garden,” he recalled. “That was like, ‘Oh, my God. Oh, my God. What’s it gonna be like?’ And then you went through these big curtains and the car’s there, and you get out of the car. The minute you got out of the car, you were at a wedding.”

Another British star who bagged an invite was Radio 1 DJ Greg James, who lifted the lid on the ceremony days after. “It was a room full of the most famous people in the world,” James said on his morning show.

“It was like going to Madame Tussauds, but the wax was animated and you could interact with the wax and it talked back to you. It was absolutely mad. I think I had a few wees next to NFL players.”

James joked that he “stole two things” from Swift’s wedding, which turned out to be doilies from the backs of the chairs. He gifted them to two delighted colleagues, both of whom were huge fans of Swift.

Earlier this week, Kelce spoke about his wedding for the first time, calling it the “best night” of his life. “I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us,” he said.

After much speculation, it was confirmed by Swift’s representative that both her and Kelce’s wedding looks were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson, creative director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections, “in close collaboration with the Bride and Groom”.

The “Shake It Off” singer’s fans are still waiting with bated breath for official photos from the ceremony.

In the meantime, and in spite of rumoured non-disclosure agreements signed before the nuptials, some guests have been unable to hold back from sharing a few tidbits, including one person’s claim that Lena Dunham left fans gasping with her outrageous wedding speech.

Country star Maren Morris shared a photo of a lace handkerchief embroidered with the couple’s initials, wedding date and location. An extra personal touch was a lyric from Swift’s hit song “Blank Space”, reading: “So it’s gonna be forever…”
