ARKHANGELSK, August 13. /TASS/. The OKB Granat design bureau has presented laser systems for countering attack drones at the 4th Arctic - Regions Forum in Arkhangelsk, a TASS correspondent reports.
The systems are designed to search for, detect, and identify attacking drones, and subsequently destroy them using laser weapons.
Two versions of the system were presented at the forum. The Granat-9.1 system, mounted on a Kamaz truck, features enhanced off-road capability. The power of the laser emitter is at least 9.0 kW, and the range of the laser emitter is 200 to 1,500 meters. The second version, the Granat-4.2 system, mounted on a UAZ chassis, features laser emitter power of at least 4.0 kW with a range of 200 to 1,200 meters.
To cover large facilities, both laser versions can be integrated into a spatially distributed system with a single central control facility.
The 4th Arctic - Regions Forum is taking place in Arkhangelsk on August 13-14. TASS is the general information partner.
