MANILA, Philippines — Two senior Philippine National Police (PNP) officials were promoted to their respective next higher ranks. PNP deputy chief for operations Police Maj. Gen. Wilson Joseph Lopez, the third-highest-ranking official in the national police force, was promoted to the rank of police lieutenant general. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. approved Lopez’s promotion on July 30, according to General Order No. NHQ-GO-PR-2026-4626 dated Aug. 12 and issued by Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
