According to Ukrinform, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

"Ukrainian military intelligence has identified a Russian mercenary from the Philippines who was killed — Jeric Jumadil Undol, born on March 5, 1989, a native of the Manila metropolitan area," the statement said.

Undol obtained a Russian visa on January 22 and arrived in Moscow Region on April 18, where he immediately began the process of signing a contract.

The mercenary was housed at the Avangard center, an institution focused on military-patriotic education for young people.

On May 3, the Filipino signed a one-year contract with the Russian army, after which he was sent for training. Like other foreign mercenaries, he did not remain there for long, spending about a week in training.

By approximately mid-May, Undol was already at the front line. At the end of the month, he was killed during a futile assault near Katerinivka, located at the junction of Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Luhansk regions.

Intelligence officials emphasized that the mercenary knowingly ignored warnings from the Philippine government and local legislation, tempted by the prospect of "easy" money.

According to the I Want to Live project, about 14 Philippine citizens have signed contracts with the Russian army. At least two of them have been killed, while another is being held captive.

"The only real chance of survival in the criminal war against Ukraine, both for foreign mercenaries in the Russian army and for citizens of the aggressor state, is to voluntarily surrender into captivity," Ukraine's Defence Intelligence said.

As Ukrinform reported, the Defence Intelligence previously identified two Russian mercenaries from Kyrgyzstan who were killed in Ukraine.
