The ministry said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"As part of preparations for the winter period, UNICEF, with financial support from the governments of Germany, Norway, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as national committees, will provide cash assistance to vulnerable families living near the front line," the statement said.

The ministry noted that UAH 2,012,792,601 will be transferred to the Humanitarian Response and Resilience Account opened by the ministry with the National Bank of Ukraine.

The funds are intended to support people living in frontline areas and provide essential assistance to children and their caregivers during the most difficult winter months. Under the program, more than 104,000 households will be eligible to receive a one-time cash payment of UAH 19,400.

As reported earlier, nearly 8,000 children with disabilities from nine frontline regions of Ukraine will receive a one-time payment of UAH 6,500 under a UNICEF program supported by the UK government.
