The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said a tanker had been hit by an unmanned aerial vehicle while transiting through the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday.

It added that while the vessel sustained minor damage, the whole crew was safe and accounted for, and no environmental impact has been reported.
