Those who are tired of having a tiny tag in the corner of what they’ve created with Gemini can now remove it.

The latest version of Gemini, Gemini Spark, 3.7 Flash, lets users get rid of the visible watermarks that appear in the corners of images created with Nano Banana, videos made with Omni, and song lyrics generated with Lyria.

Change does not supersede the law

However, this does not work in countries where the watermarks are required by law, which China, South Korea, and countries in the EU.

Furthermore, removing the watermark does not remove the Invisible SynthID watermarks and C2PA metadata, which will remain embedded in the background.

Rolling out to users

The ability to turn off watermarks is rolling out now and should be available to all within days.

Watermarking is on by default in Gemini. To remove it, go to Settings > Show watermark and toggle it on or or off. Whatever you select will apply to all future images, videos, and music tracks.
