An officer had to hoist the national flag twice in Saundatti in Belagavi district of Karnataka on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day due to a minor glitch.

Kalagouda Patil, Tahsildar, hoisted the national flag at Gadad Maradi gate in Saundatti in the morning and began to address the gathering. However, the flag started descending slowly.

Officials tried to fix the problem by pulling the rope.

But, the flag kept descending.

Mr. Patil stopped his speech and hoisted the flag again.
