Sibling rivalry and bonding – the ties that bind over a lifetime

SINGAPORE – What I observe about the relationship between my three children is this: Whatever binds them together also pulls them apart.

Sharing the same origin of birth does not determine how well they will bond. At times, such closeness can turn the sibling relationship into one of rivalry.
