BJP national president Nitin Nabin will be arriving in Visakhapatnam on August 17 (Monday) to attend a meeting of the newly-constituted State Executive on August 18, according to party State president P.V.N. Madhav.
Addressing the media here on August 16 (Sunday), Mr. Madhav said the State Executive meeting would be attended by party MPs, MLAs and leaders from the district and mandal levels. He said BJP national general secretary (organisation) B.L. Santhosh would also participate.
He said the party would introduce two key resolutions at the meeting, focusing on development achieved by the State and irrigation projects. He said Visakhapatnam was emerging as a major investment destination.
Highlighting major infrastructure and development projects, Mr Madhav said construction works on the proposed Google Data Centre project were progressing at a rapid pace. Green hydrogen projects and bulk drug parks were also coming up in the region, he added.
Referring to the closure of the Visakhapatnam airport and shift of flight operations to Bhogapuram, Mr. Madhav said he was also personally saddened as a resident of the region. However, the broader interests of the region had to be kept in mind, he added
