VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Joint military, police, and anti-narcotics forces successfully uprooted some 2,000 fully grown marijuana plants worth P400,000 in a remote mountainous area in Bukidnon over the weekend. The clandestine plantation was discovered in Sitio Catablaran, Barangay Canangaan, Cabanglasan, Bukidnon, an isolated upland community situated near the border with Agusan del Sur, last Friday, Aug. 14. Cpl. Kevin Binahon, Cabanglasan police station assistant head for operations, said the raid was conducted following a tip-off from a concerned civilian regarding the illicit marijuana plantation.
