US senator condemns Ben Gvir’s call to 'kill 30 or 40 people in Gaza every night'

US Senator Jacky Rosen has called for Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben Gvir to resign after comments in which he said Israeli forces should kill “30 or 40” people in Gaza every night.

In a post on X, the Democratic senator described the remarks as “horrific and completely indefensible”.

“Anyone advocating for acts of violence against innocent civilians should not be in an official government position,” Rosen said.

“I believe Ben Gvir must resign,” she added, urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to denounce the comments and “reaffirm to the world that this is not the government’s position.”
