The arrested suspect was identified by PDEA-7 as alias “Makmak,” a 39-year-old job-order garbage truck driver and resident of Barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion.
Authorities said the operation stemmed from information provided by a confidential informant regarding the suspect’s alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.
A month-long case buildup followed, during which authorities gathered information on the suspect’s alleged activities.

PDEA-7 said he was arrested in 2015 for alleged selling and possession of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The cases, however, were later dismissed.
Charges prepared
As of Monday, August 17, the suspect remains detained at the PDEA-7 office in Cebu City.
