Virgin Media is set to show 22 NFL American football games each season for the next three years as aprt of a new deal.
Virgin Media Television will show live coverage of 18 games each season on Sundays at 9pm, plus three playoff games and the Super Bowl, through to the end of the 2028 NFL season.
They will also carry a Thursday night show, NFL Overtime, hosted by Michael McQuaid. Virgin said it will bring viewers all the key highlights, talking points and reactions from the previous week's NFL action, while also looking ahead to the biggest storylines and matchups of the coming weekend.
“Following the success of the 2025 NFL Dublin game in Croke Park, the growing appetite in Ireland for NFL games is evident,” said senior director of international business development and media at the NFL, Laura Louisy.
"We’re delighted to extend our partnership with the NFL and significantly increase the number of games available free-to-air for viewers across Ireland,” Mick McCaffrey, director of news and sport at Virgin Media Television.
