After receiving an email from students and alumni of the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, opposing the presence of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Bar Council of India Chief Manan Kumar Mishra, at the university’s convocation, Vice-Chancellor Sudhir Krishnaswamy has asked the students to form a delegation to meet him.

Speaking to The Hindu, graduating students from NLSIU said, “The V-C has asked us to send a delegation of five students from all graduating batches to meet him and discuss of how to proceed with the convocation. Apart from this, we are having internal discussions on what should be our next step.”

Prof. Krishnan was not available for comment.

Two days ago, the students and alumni of NLSIU extended unconditional support to the students of The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad, and said they were also opposed to the presence of CJI Surya Kant and BCI chief Manan Kumar Mishra at their convocation.
