Beta 6 is rolling out now for iPadOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27, HomePod 27, and more, as Apple’s latest wave of developer betas brings the new software closer to launch.
Apple debuts beta 6 for iPadOS 27 and more as release schedule accelerates
Apple’s next major software updates are only a month away, which means the beta cycle will wrap up soon.
Today Apple released developer beta 6 for its full lineup of platforms. iPadOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and more are rolling out now alongside iOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate.
Last week, beta 5 debuted following an unusual three-week gap between betas. It introduced changes like:
- Redesigned app icons for Siri, Safari, Preview, and more
- Additional Siri voice customization options
- New Search options in Settings
- iCloud+ details on AI usage limits
- and more
Now today, as Apple tends to do in August, the company seems to have shifted to a weekly release pattern for betas.
Beta 6 is likely to focus on performance improvements and bug fixes. With only a couple more betas expected before the public launch next month, Apple will want to ensure these updates are as stable and smooth for users as possible.
