CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO, Philippines — Heavy rain flooded portions of a road and nearby rice fields in Sitio Cawacat, Barangay Nasucob, here, on Monday evening, Aug. 17. Around 6 p.m., floodwaters inundated sections of the road and agricultural areas. The road remained passable to light vehicles, but motorists were advised to exercise caution while crossing the flooded portion.
